At Vantik, we believe that names have great importance and are an important part of human identity. We believe that people should be able to decide for themselves what name they want to be addressed by. Many people do not identify with the name registered in their passport - for a variety of reasons.
Therefore, we would like to offer you the opportunity to enter the name on your Vantikcard that you personally feel most comfortable with. Of course, this can be the name in your passport or ID card, but it doesn't have to be.
To make sure that this possibility is not abused by a few, we have set up some basic rules to follow. The name on the card...
-
... should be the name with which you most identify yourself. This can be a nickname, a calling name, an abbreviation, a middle name, an alias, etc. However, it is important that it is your name.
-
... must not contain any obscenities or inappropriate words.
-
... must not contain any trademarked or IP protected words.
-
... must not be the name of a real person who actually exists or existed. Especially not the name of celebrities, political figures or outlaws.
-
... must not contain any politically motivated message that contradicts the democratic and liberal basic order. Abbreviations that are to be understood as such a message in certain circles are also not permitted.
One more note: The upper and lower case of the name is limited by technical specifications. The first letter after a space is always written as an uppercase letter on the card, the remaining letters as lowercase letters. If you write the name differently in the field provided, this will be automatically adjusted by the Mastercard system.
